Is there any content that MailerLite doesn’t allow?

Updated over a month ago

At MailerLite, we want you to succeed in sending relevant content to your subscribers. This means sending content that subscribers have opted in to read and also complies with the CAN-SPAM act.

Additionally, you must adhere to MailerLite’s broader Terms of Use and Anti-Spam Policy by sending communications only to consented subscribers, avoiding spam practices. This ensures that our platform remains a trustworthy space for all users.

Violating these rules can lead to account suspension or termination.

Certain types of content are not permitted under our Terms of Use, including but not limited to:

  • Pornography

  • Escort services

  • Content related to or promoting gambling

  • Content related to or promoting MLMs

  • Affiliate marketing

  • Mobile unlocking services

  • Illegal goods or services

  • "Get rich quick" plans or incentivized recruitment

  • Selling or buying email lists or followers

  • Products or services involving loans, credit, or mortgages

  • Counterfeit goods or illegal services

Also, you must not send content that promotes discrimination, bullying, or actions that could harm people’s health, like anti-vaccination material. Do not send false or misleading information about products, services, or anything else. This means no exaggerating, hiding, or leaving out details, spreading fake news, or making content confusing or unclear.

If your newsletter content doesn’t appear on the list above, and your subscribers have requested to receive more information on your proposed content by opting-in to receive your newsletter, then you’re free to create and send a campaign to your subscribers.

Your responsibilities

• Do not pretend to be someone else or falsely claim to be connected to another person or company, especially through links in emails, landing pages, or signup forms you create using our service.

• Make sure all the content you send is created by you, or you have the rights to use it. You confirm that you own or have permission to use all material, content, data, and information you submit to MailerLite.
